I'm 9 months old

On June 21st I turned 9 months old and on Tuesday I went to the doctor for my wellness check-up. While at the doctor they weighed me, measured me (my length and my head), and I got one shot. I weighed in at a whopping 22 pounds and was 30 inches long. Oh and when they gave me my shot, I didn't even cry. My mommy was very happy and she said I was such a big boy. I just wanted to let everyone know how I was growing, I have to go now. I'll post again soon.

As Promised

Our computer is fixed and as I promised I'm having my mommy put pictures from this weekend on my blog.

This is me on the hammock. As you can see I am not very happy.

This is me in the pool at my grandma and grandpa Landin's house in Fort Wayne.

My weekend

Due to some computer problems we do not have pictures from this weekend, but I wanted to tell everyone what I did this weekend. On Friday I woke up early to take my daddy to work and then I ran some errands with my mommy. We even got to go to lunch with some friends. Then it was time to pick daddy up so we could pick up Aunt Kayla and Gwen. Gwen and I were off to Fort Wayne to visit our grandparents. We stayed at my grandma and grandpa Landin's Friday and Saturday night. We were supposed to go swimming on Saturday, but it was chilly and sprinkling all day. I did get to go swimming for a little while on Sunday, but I didn't have much fun. After we went swimming, it was time to come back home. On our way home mommy and daddy stopped for ice cream and I got my own baby cone at Handel's in Indianapolis. It was really good. I would have liked to have more, but they said it was all gone. Hopefully we can go back again sometime. Well I think these are the highlights of my weekend and when the computer is fixed I will have my mommy put some new pictures on my blog. Check back later.

Swimming like a Fish

Over the past week I have got to go swimming three times. Once at Shakamak pool and twice at Dietz Lake. I love the water and found that sand tastes pretty good too. My mommy says I shouldn't eat the sand and that it is not good for me. How was I supposed to know, I'm only 8 months old. Anyway, my mommy took some pictures at the pool and I would like to share them with you.

This is me playing at the edge of the pool. I was having a really good time.

Boy all that swimming must have made me really tired. I guess when you're tired you can take a nap anywhere. It was a fun day regardless of if I missed the last 30 minutes.

Another party

I went to my cousin, Gwen's, 1st birthday party and she got this car as a present. I really liked the car so I thought I would test drive it for her. It seemed to ride nice and I hope maybe some day I will have a car like this.

Gwen also got a sandbox for her birthday. Being the nice cousin that I am I thought I should probably check that out for her also, so I did. It was okay, but as you can see I wasn't too thrilled with the feel of the sand on my toes. Hopefully Gwen likes it more than I do.

What is this?

My coousin, Gwen, and I went to the zoo the other day for her birthday and our parents sat us on this bench to take pictures, but we have a problem. There is something else already on the bench and we're not sure what it is or why it is there. Our parents seem okay with us sitting with is thing on the bench so I guess we will be okay.

Mowing the Lawn

My daddy was mowing the lawn the other day and when he was finished mommy took me outside to see the lawn tractor. I was very curious about this machine and wanted to touch it so mommy thought it would be safer if she let me sit on the seat. I liked that idea too since I could pretend to be driving the tractor. Daddy thought this was so sute that he took yet another picture of me. I liked the picture and thought it might be nice to share it.

Really Tired!

The other day, I was watching my mommy bake cookies and make dinner and I got really tired. Since I was in a comfortable spot, my high chair, I just fell asleep. Well mommy and daddy thought this was so funny that they took and picture and told just about everyone, so since a lot of people have heard about it anyway I thought the picture could be put on my blog so here it is.

Another Exciting weekend

Friday

This weekend I had another birthday party for one of my friends and mommy fed me some of her cake. After this picture was taken I grabbed the cake plate, with cake still on it, and dumped the cake on the table making a mess. I ended up with red icing on me and mommy. I thought it was really fun, but mommy didn't think it was.

Saturday we had a graduation party at some our family friends. I got to eat green beans and some other food, as well as a few bites of cake. I also got to play with some of my friends that are about my age. Here is a picture of me playing with my cousin Gwen.

Sunday was the busiest day of all. First I went to church with mommy and daddy. Then we went to Dobbs Park with some of our friends for lunch and to play. At the park we got rained on a little, but it was still fun. Then when we got tired of playing we went to the Native American museum and the Nature center at the park. I got to look at animals in the nature center and I really liked the turtles. Here are a few pictures of me at the park.

I sure am ready to go and on the way to the car I start to fall asleep and my daddy decided to take a picture of that too.

But wait, my weekend is not over yet. Sunday night we went to Terre Haute South Vigo's graduation. I was very well behaved and even took a nap during the ceremony. Daddy took a lot of pictures and even got a few of me. Here are just two of the pictures taken at the graduation.

This is the emblem for the Braves. And this is me after graduation hanging upside-down over my mommy's arm.

Peek-a-Boo

Gabe has a new favorite game. He loves to play Peek-a-boo and now that he is some what mobile he plays just about everywhere he is. In this picture he is peeking out from behind our living room coffee table. Is he cute or what?

Help!

As new parents, sometimes we find humor in our young son's misfortune. On this day Gabe had rolled in to his bedroom as we watched on and somehow he found his way under his bed. To his dismay he also realized that at this angle he was also stuck under his bed. We laughed. took this picture, and then helped him out.
