What I've been up to

Well I have actually been very busy. On the Friday after Thanksgiving I got my picture taken in Ft. Wayne and I have one to share. This is one of my Christmas pictures they took.
Then on this past Wednesday I was having a bad evening. I knew something was happening, but I was not sure what. I did not sleep well that night and the next morning my daddy woke up really early and left. Then my mommy left for work. I was not a happy little boy. I got over it very quickly and took a nap with my Aunt B. Well mommy came home, but daddy stayed gone which made me sad, but I talked to him on the phone. On Thursday night I went to my Grammy and Grampy's house and saw my cousin. It was pretty fun and it made me sleep better that night. Then Friday after mommy got back from work we went to see daddy in Indianapolis. Once we were there I had a blast. I got to walk around and meet lots of new people. I also tried very hard to get onto the field that the Colts play on, but they locked the doors. Maybe next time! I also got to play on some big blow up toys. Mommy and daddy took some pictures and I have one of me in action to share.
After the convention was over on Saturday we went to dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory. It was very yummy! Then we stayed in the hotel again. On Sunday we went shopping at the mall where I got my picture taken with Winnie the Pooh at the Disney store. I then went to the Children's Museum. I really liked playing at the museum. There was one area that we stayed in for a long time that was made just for kids my age. I have a few pictures of what I played with. My favorite was the water table, but I don't have a good picture of that so I just have to tell you. This is me and daddy on the digger. I also "drove" it by myself.
This is me "directing" a news cast that my daddy was doing in the Kids Make a Difference area of the museum. I also played in other areas, but I don't have any other pictures.
When we got home we put up our Christmas tree and some decorations. I got to help put ornaments on the tree and my daddy got a picture of me in action. Well I know that this was a long one, but I had a lot to share. I hope everyone who reads this has a great Christmas and I will try to post again before then, but if not next time there will be pictures of Christmas.

Grammy and Grampy time

Well, mommy and daddy went to have some "couple" time in Plainfield so I stayed with my Grammy and Grampy in Cory on Friday night. I wasn't so sure about it at first, but I ended up getting to do a lot of fun stuff. I went to the mall to see Santa, he rode in to the mall in a car. I was not at all interested and I let everyone know by crying. So unfortunately there are no pictures to share. I did get to ride some little rides in the middle of the mall with my cousin Gwen, which I really liked. I also got to go out to eat at Tumbleweed with everyone. I ate a lot! Then we went to Wal-Mart and I got a new cell phone, which I love. (Thanks Grammy and Grampy!) When my mommy and daddy came to pick me up I didn't want to leave, but they said it was time to go and carried me to the car. I fell asleep before we were to the end of the road out of town. I must have been really tired. Then yesterday I went to church with mommy and daddy. I got to play in the nursery for a little while, but mommy stayed with me. Now today, I woke up earlier than usual and had breakfast (five mini pancakes) and have been playing with my toys. Hopefully when mommy goes shopping I will get something, she said I could if I was a good little boy. I almost always am so I take that as I will get to get something. I hope it is some new snacks. I( will post some pictures next time.

Pumpkins, Football, and Candy

I am a little behind with posting so I will try to remember to post more often on this blog. First of all Gabe has his first trip to the pumpkin patch last weekend. We went to Pumpkin Works with my family and Gabe had a blast. He went through a hay maze (made for little kids) as well as crawled though tunnels and went down a tunnel slide. Here is a good picture of Gabe in the hay maze. He also liked looking at all of the pumpkins.
On Monday, Gabe got to come to my classroom to help Matt hang a number line for Math. He liked getting to run around the room and school and to try to climb on the ladder. Then on Tuesday Gabe got to go trick-or-treating with his friends Zeke and Jocelyn. He had fun walking up to the houses and getting candy. He did get a little upset when he couldn't eat the candy after each house. On Wednesday, Gabe went trick-or-treating again with his cousin Gwen to some of our family. Then he went to his great-grandma's house to celebrate her birthday (it's on Halloween). Here are a few picture of Gabe's trick-or-treating adventure.
This is Gabe and his great-great grandma

This is Gabe and his Aunt Brittany at her work on Halloween. She is Twister (the game) and I am baby Peyton Manning.

This is Gabe, Gwen, and my great-grandma on her birthday (Halloween).

Weekend Fun

I am a week behind, but I wanted to let everyone know what I did last weekend because I had so much fun. On Friday, mommy was on Fall break and I had my one year check up at the doctor. I had to get three shots and then I had to get my blood drawn. It was not a fun morning, but I got a new toy and I got to go to lunch with my grammy and grampy. Then my mommy and I went to see daddy on his lunch break. I also got a sand box and a new rocking toy at a yard sale. Although I won't be able to play with them until Spring they are still neat. On Saturday night our church had a family harvest party. I had so much fun. I got to jump around in some blow up toys and went down a big blow up slide. I also went on my first hay ride. I also started to walk on my own at the party. Yes, you read right I am walking by myself now. Then on Sunday we went to church and to Mansfield to the Covered Bridge Festival. Then on Monday, mommy was off and we went to lunch with some friends and to the park to play. It was fun to play with the kids. Before I go I wanted to share some pictures from my weekend.

Birthday Fun

I know it has taken a while, but I am finally able to post an update for Gabe. It has been a very busy couple of weeks, with his birthday and the Cory Apple Festival. He has had so much fun and done so many new things these past two weekends. It is unbelievable to me how much he can grow in such a short time.
Anyway, for his birthday during the day Matt and I had to work, which was sad, but he got to have lunch with his Aunt B, Aunt Kayla, and Gwen. He also went shopping. After Matt and I got home we took Gabe to pick out a toy at Toys 'R Us. He found what we call his first IPOD. Then we went to dinner at Pizza Hut with Gabe's grammy, grampy, aunts, and his cousin Gwen. After we had eaten we went to downtown Terre Haute to the Street Fair. Gabe loved looking at all of the old cars and listening to the live band play. It was a wonderful day.
Then on Saturday, we had Gabe's birthday party. I do have a few pictures of Gabe's 1st birthday party.

This is Gabe's birthday cake. The theme of his party was John Deere. One of the cakes was a field with a tractor driving in the field. The other is a decorated tractor cake.

These are a couple of pictures of Gabe with his presents. He was not really in to opening them, but he has enjoyed playing with them.

These two pictures are of Gabe enjoying his "smash" cake. It was a small chocolate cake make just for him. Once he figured out what it was he became quite messy. He had fun all the same.

Boy, How Time Flies

As I sit here looking at Gabe's blog I realize that my little baby boy is growing all too fast. He is still attempting to walk, but with much hesitation which I am grateful for. I know in time it will come and when that day comes I will long for the days when he wanted me to hold his hand and help him. In less than a week he will be one and it is very unbelievable right now. He has changed so much and done so many new things especially in these past few months. He does have four teeth and I am pretty sure that he is now working on a couple of more so by his birthday he may have the "stubs" of a new tooth to show everyone. He has also became very "solid" in the weight department, which to many people is a surprise when they pick him up. Due to his height he hides his weight well. Since Matt and I are both working we have slowed down on the picture taking a bit so I am sorry to say I only have one picture to share, which happens to be a picture of Gabe that we took a few weeks ago for his birthday invitations. This is definitely my favorite so here it is.

It appears that there is something wrong with the tractor and Gabe is trying to fix it. He is definitely going to be helping daddy and Grampy very soon!

A Few Pictures to Share

My mommy finally had some time so I had her find some recent pictures to post. A few weeks ago we finally got to get our patio laid and I was very interested in watching so mommy took me outside to watch the cement truck and the guys working. Here is a picture of me and the truck.
This other picture is me posing against the wall in our dining room.

My Life

I am 11 months old and am having fun being mobile. I am still crawling, but I am working on standing and walking. I can walk pretty well holding my mommy or daddy's finger. I can also walk with a push toy. My mommy says I may be walking on my own by my birthday, I guess we'll see in less than a month. I also now have three teeth and am working on the fourth (two on bottom, one on top). I love to eat pretty much anything, especially what my mommy and daddy eat. I will have my mommy post pictures soon, but she is busy right now with work stuff, so when things calm down she will definitely get some pictures to share. I'll post again soon.

Family Fun Day

On Thursday my daddy had a day off so we planned a fun day. We went to McDonalds for breakfast. I had one and a half hot cakes. They were very yummy. Then we went to the Children's Museum in Indianapolis. There was a really neat glass exhibit and I got to play with plastic replicas.
When I got tired of playing there my mommy and daddy took me to another part of the museum and I got to play with some smaller glass replica pieces made of plastic. Daddy helped me with this part since there were magnets in the pieces.
We visited every part of the museum, including a part that was made just for me. It is the Play Scape area. I got to play in this play area that was just for kids under the age of two so there were kids just my size and I made friends with a couple of them very quickly. We rolled around and played with blocks. It was really fun in there! I also saw a magic show, race car, fish, a fun house of mirrors, and a boat. Before we left mommy and daddy took me to this one part of the museum where there were dinosaur bones. We walked around for a little while and daddy and I crawled into a cove area to look at some stuff. I liked being able to get down and crawl throughout the museum.
After the museum we went to Splash Island in Plainfield. It was a very nice water park. We only got to swim for about an hour and a half, but by that point I was tired and ready to go. We went to an outdoor concert at the Metropolis and ate dinner on the patio of Centro Italian Kitchen. It was very yummy. The music was okay, I danced and clapped a little.

A Swimmy Day

On Wednesday I got to go to my cousin Gwen's at house while my mommy went to the school for a meeting. When my mommy came back to get me I got to go swimming in my cousin Gwen's swimming pool.
Whenever I go swimming I get really thirsty so I usually drink the water from the pool, but on this occasion I got to drink water out of Gwen's sprinkler. Here is the picture to prove it. See I loved the water. It was such a fun day.
Thanks for letting me come play Aunt Kayla and Gwen.

Finally

Hello Everyone! Another month has passed and I am now 10 months old. I just wanted to let you know what has happened over the past week since I have turned 10 months old. I finally got another tooth this week, but not without some discomfort. I had a fever and some diarrhea. That makes two. I have yet to let mommy get a picture of them so once I let her she will post it. This past week I was very busy as usual. The work on the outside of our house continues and I get to watch from my pack-n-play in the yard. I wish I could get closer, but my mommy says it is too dangerous, so I settle for just being outside and watching the action. I also got to visit with my friends this week. We went to breakfast, then for a walk and to play at the park on Thursday. Then I went to Baskin Robbins for a shake. I also got to play with my cousin Gwen. While I was there my mommy took a picture that she would like to share.
This is me looking at my diaper which I just somehow crawled out of. My mommy and Aunt Kayla just laughed and my cousin and I just looked at them like they were crazy. A new diaper was put on and all was well. After all this happened it was time to go home. Yesterday, mommy and I went shopping with a friend and I got a lot of new clothes for this Fall/Winter. Then we went to lunch and then home. Today I am just relaxing at home.

Cookies, I like Cookies!

Since my grandparents were in town this weekend, daddy took advantage of the cookie baking abilities of my grandma Landin and had her bake chocolate chip cookies. I saw them and of course I needed one and my grammy and grandma thought it would be a great idea to give me one to try. They even let me hold it myself. As you can see I am enjoying myself and after I finished the first one, I had another. I loved the cookies. They were so yummy! I made a huge mess and here is what I looked like after two cookies.

My Weekend

Well this weekend was another busy one. On Friday, I spent the day with my mommy and went to Wal-Mart to shop. We then got to go to McDonalds with my Aunt Kayla, Gwenie, Aunt B, and Grammy. I ate two chicken nuggets and some french fries. It was yummy. Then Friday night I spent the night with my grammy, grampy, and Aunt B so my mommy and daddy could celebrate their anniversary. It was fun, but I started not feeling well. Then Saturday I went yard saling before my grandma and grandpa Landin came to visit. They brought my Uncle Joey too. My daddy worked on the house since he had so much help. We now have a deck for me to play on and they said soon we would have a patio so I could play with my push toys outside. I can't wait, it will be so much fun. I think that is pretty much it so I will post again soon.

Latest Breaking News!

Now that I am 9 1/2 months old, I finally have my first tooth. It just broke through my gums in the past couple of days and mommy felt it for the first time last night. You can see it if I let you look in my mouth and don't cover it with my tongue. I think maybe since I have a tooth I will get to eat more of mommy and daddy's food. I did get to eat spaghetti last night all by myself so we'll see what today brings.

I had my first experience with farm animals this past Saturday when I went to the Clay City fair to watch the fireworks. Here are my pictures.

I wonder what's in this pen.

This is me and the sheep.

This is me and the pig.

My mommy bought me this toy at a yard sale so I would have something to push around. It is a walker and a riding toy. In this picture I have rode it backwards into the corner and I want to go another way.
I don't know about the rest of you, but the 4th of July was a wet one. I was supposed to go swimming with my grammy and grampy, mommy and daddy, Aunt Kayla and Uncle Jared, my cousin Gwenie and my Aunt B, but since the pool was closed we just went to the park by my grammy and grampy's house and had a picnic and played at the playground. Which meant I got to eat turkey, cheese, cheese puffs, and watermelon. It was all quite tasty. After I was done eating this is what I did. . .
swung on the swing, climbed up the jungle gym, went down the slide with Aunt B, went swimming with family at my grammy and grampy's since the rain stopped for a little while, went for a wagon ride with Gwenie.

I'm 9 months old

On June 21st I turned 9 months old and on Tuesday I went to the doctor for my wellness check-up. While at the doctor they weighed me, measured me (my length and my head), and I got one shot. I weighed in at a whopping 22 pounds and was 30 inches long. Oh and when they gave me my shot, I didn't even cry. My mommy was very happy and she said I was such a big boy. I just wanted to let everyone know how I was growing, I have to go now. I'll post again soon.

As Promised

Our computer is fixed and as I promised I'm having my mommy put pictures from this weekend on my blog.

This is me on the hammock. As you can see I am not very happy.

This is me in the pool at my grandma and grandpa Landin's house in Fort Wayne.

My weekend

Due to some computer problems we do not have pictures from this weekend, but I wanted to tell everyone what I did this weekend. On Friday I woke up early to take my daddy to work and then I ran some errands with my mommy. We even got to go to lunch with some friends. Then it was time to pick daddy up so we could pick up Aunt Kayla and Gwen. Gwen and I were off to Fort Wayne to visit our grandparents. We stayed at my grandma and grandpa Landin's Friday and Saturday night. We were supposed to go swimming on Saturday, but it was chilly and sprinkling all day. I did get to go swimming for a little while on Sunday, but I didn't have much fun. After we went swimming, it was time to come back home. On our way home mommy and daddy stopped for ice cream and I got my own baby cone at Handel's in Indianapolis. It was really good. I would have liked to have more, but they said it was all gone. Hopefully we can go back again sometime. Well I think these are the highlights of my weekend and when the computer is fixed I will have my mommy put some new pictures on my blog. Check back later.

Swimming like a Fish

Over the past week I have got to go swimming three times. Once at Shakamak pool and twice at Dietz Lake. I love the water and found that sand tastes pretty good too. My mommy says I shouldn't eat the sand and that it is not good for me. How was I supposed to know, I'm only 8 months old. Anyway, my mommy took some pictures at the pool and I would like to share them with you.

This is me playing at the edge of the pool. I was having a really good time.

Boy all that swimming must have made me really tired. I guess when you're tired you can take a nap anywhere. It was a fun day regardless of if I missed the last 30 minutes.

Another party

I went to my cousin, Gwen's, 1st birthday party and she got this car as a present. I really liked the car so I thought I would test drive it for her. It seemed to ride nice and I hope maybe some day I will have a car like this.

Gwen also got a sandbox for her birthday. Being the nice cousin that I am I thought I should probably check that out for her also, so I did. It was okay, but as you can see I wasn't too thrilled with the feel of the sand on my toes. Hopefully Gwen likes it more than I do.

What is this?

My coousin, Gwen, and I went to the zoo the other day for her birthday and our parents sat us on this bench to take pictures, but we have a problem. There is something else already on the bench and we're not sure what it is or why it is there. Our parents seem okay with us sitting with is thing on the bench so I guess we will be okay.
